We may be looking at the car that will bring back the title of world’s fastest production car to America. Ok, it may be based on a Japanese car but Tym Switzer of Ohio thinks that the best base for a 1000hp car is the Nissan GT-R. So he did what he does best and modified the bejeezus out of the car. All thousand horses come from the Switzer-made intake manifolds, turbos, intercoolers and even a lightweight titanium exhaust system after gulping race gas. On normal fuel, the car can still deliver 800 ponies so you won’t be left hanging whatsoever. $60,000.

The Nissan GT-R is a sports car produced by Japan. The 2010 model has received updates like an additional 5hp from the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6, a bigger fuel tank, new tires and a re-tuned suspension. The dual-clutch transmission is revised with updated launch control. The 2010 Nissan GT-R comes with a new color – pearl white.

These photos are taken from Nurburgring, it’s the 2011 Nissan GT-R, a redesigned Nissan GT-R that is slated to be released this December. If your familiar with the original GT-R, you’ll probably say that only few elements have been changed. It seems that a new front bumper will be installed, new grilles – that makes the car even more aggressive, and few bents added in the rear bumper. TBA.

The Nissan GT-R’s popularity is set to increase some more with the release of it’s SpecV variant. This new offering is for hardcore race enthusiasts – weekend warriors who want the look of a normal-looking enough car but packs the performance of a true racer. The SpecV will be exclusively available in one color, Ultimate Black Opal. There are enough carbon fiber parts on the car to rival an F1 car to trim the car’s weight, including the rear wing, brake ducts, and a pair of Recaro seats for the interior. Sadly, the engine, a 478 HP, 3.8 liter bi-turbo V6 is just as powerful as the previous GT-R release but the engineers for Nissan believe that the reduced weight, coupled with an overboost button, will be enough to take the car up to speed.
